A red poinsettia, the classic Christmas plant, with bright red bracts above deep green leaves in a white pot. A festive gift for Christmas and New Year visits, a colleague’s desk or a new home.
Red Poinsettia Plant: the colour of Christmas in a pot
Few plants say Christmas like a red poinsettia. Its red leaves, which are in fact bracts around small yellow flowers, sit above deep green foliage and bring festive colour to a living room, an entrance or an office.
What is in the gift
- Plant: a red poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) with red bracts and green leaves.
- Pot: a white pot, ready to give.
- Card: a free greeting card with your message.
Occasions it suits
Send it to family and friends for Christmas and New Year, have it waiting before a holiday visit, or brighten a colleague’s desk or a client’s reception during the season. It is also a warm welcome for a new home in December. See more ideas in our Christmas gifts.
Caring for your poinsettia
Keep it in a bright spot out of direct sun, away from cold drafts and heaters. Water it when the top of the soil feels dry, and do not let the pot stand in water.
